Deelscootmobiel.nl's mission is to make accessible and inclusive mobility possible by developing sharing concepts that help people remain independent. RevaMed focuses on offering high-quality mobility and medical aids that combine innovation and quality to improve the quality of life of users.

How it started
The collaboration between Deelscootmobiel.nl and RevaMed came about via Scootpallet.nla company that purchases Minicrossers from RevaMed. “We were looking for ways to optimally connect shared mobility to municipalities and suppliers,” says Jeroen. “When setting up shared mobility, you have to deal with the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and technical requirements, among other things. Through our experience with Scootpallet.nl, which rents out mobility scooters to amusement parks, we learned what is minimally required to make a mobility scooter share-proof. Not every mobility scooter is suitable for shared use, but the Minicrosser certainly is. That is why we entered into discussions with RevaMed to take further steps.”

Peter adds: “We have consulted closely with manufacturer Medema to guarantee that the Minicrosser complies with all medical regulations (MDR). This has led to the development of a specific version that is optimally suited for shared mobility.”

What makes the Minicrosser unique?
Jeroen explains: “The Minicrosser stands out because of its robustness, safety and high quality. It is more stable and durable than most common mobility scooters, offers a comfortable seat and has an attractive look. These are all important features if you want to make shared mobility successful.”

In addition, the Minicrosser is easily adaptable to different users and circumstances, making it ideal for shared mobility.

Benefits for end users and municipalities
According to Jeroen, the shared mobility scooter offers direct benefits: “Users have access without waiting time and experience more flexibility and freedom. Municipalities benefit from lower Social Domain (Wmo) costs and less administrative burden.” Sustainability also plays a major role: “Through shared mobility, we reduce the CO2 footprint and reduce parking and storage problems for corporations and (residential) care institutions.” Sustainability also plays a major role: “Through shared mobility, we reduce the CO2 footprint and reduce parking and storage problems for corporations and (residential) care institutions.”

Safety and sustainability guaranteed
One of the biggest challenges with shared mobility is the safety and correct use of the aids. “Our mobility scooters are stored in a controlled environment, such as residential care complexes, where only authorized users have access. In the event of theft, the mobility scooter can be adequately and specifically located using the built-in GPS,” Jeroen explains. “We also ensure that all mobility scooters are charged at night and we continuously monitor usage to ensure the highest possible efficiency.” Jeroen explains. “We also ensure that all mobility scooters are charged at night and we continuously monitor usage to ensure the highest possible efficiency.”

Peter adds: “Because we work closely with Medema, we can quickly respond to technical improvements. This ensures that our shared mobility scooters always meet the highest quality and safety requirements.”

How does it work?
Het reserveren van een deelscootmobiel is heel simpel Reserving a shared mobility scooter is very simple “Users can easily book a mobility scooter via our app, a central kiosk screen or a telephone reservation number Jeroen explains. “We even have an ad hoc function for spontaneous trips Users have a personal pass with which the mobility scooter can be activated. Municipalities or housing corporations can maintain a complete overview via a management platform and thus optimally tailor the service to the needs of users.

Future vision
The concept has been fully developed, the system has been tested on all fronts and can therefore be used immediately. Deelscootmobiel.nl is currently in talks with several municipalities to further roll out the concept. “In the Netherlands, we have already made great progress in the field of shared mobility, but in other countries this is still relatively unknown,” says Peter. “Together with the export manager of Medema, we are investigating the possibilities of expanding this concept internationally.”

Jeroen concludes: “We believe that shared mobility will play an increasingly important role in the healthcare sector. The rising healthcare costs and the growing group of seniors make it necessary to deal with mobility solutions more efficiently and sustainably. Together we ensure that mobility remains accessible to everyone.”

Building the future together
With this collaboration, RevaMed and Deelscootmobiel.nl are taking an important step towards a future in which mobility is accessible to everyone. By combining knowledge, innovation and network, both parties are working on a solution that is not only practical and efficient, but also has a positive impact on society. While the first steps are being taken, both companies are looking ahead to further developments and new collaborations that can make shared mobility even more widely applicable. The future of shared mobility starts here.
